Ericsson MD110 and MX-ONE support for ships.
Keep your onboard telephone system running for years to come. We have looked after Ericsson hotel telephone systems at sea for over 36 years.
The exchange most ships still run.
The Ericsson MD110 was built for hard work, which is why so many cruise ships and ferries still rely on it for cabin, hotel and crew calls. Many installers stopped supporting it years ago. We never did.
Our Ericsson engineers have worked on board for decades, and we know these systems inside out. Whether your ship runs an MD110, has moved to MX-ONE, or is somewhere in between, we can keep it running.
Discuss your systemWhat we do on MD110 and MX-ONE.
Fault-finding and repairs
Diagnosis on board or remotely from shore, with repairs carried out by engineers who know the system.
Programming and changes
Cabin, hotel and crew extensions, moves, changes and reprogramming, done around the ship's schedule.
Spares
MD110 and MX-ONE cards, handsets and hardware, including discontinued parts. See our parts service.
Planned maintenance
Maintenance visits in port or during a voyage, for a single ship or a whole fleet.
Worldwide response
Ericsson engineers in the UK and South Africa, so we can reach a vessel faster wherever it is calling.
Migration planning
When the time comes to replace the system, we help plan the move with minimum disruption on board.
Why ships call us.
We have supplied and supported telephone systems for Carnival, P&O Cruises, Princess Cruises, Cunard, Costa Cruises and Swan Hellenic, as well as superyachts. We are a small, specialist team, so you deal directly with the engineers who do the work.
MD110 and MX-ONE questions.
Do you still support the Ericsson MD110 on ships?
Yes. We support Ericsson MD110 hotel telephone systems on cruise ships, with fault-finding, repairs, programming, maintenance and spares, remotely or on board.
Do you support Ericsson MX-ONE as well?
Yes. We support MX-ONE systems on board, including ships that have moved from MD110 to MX-ONE, and ships planning that move.
Can you get spares for an MD110?
Yes. We track down MD110 and MX-ONE cards, handsets and hardware, including discontinued parts, so a working system can stay in service rather than be replaced early.
Can MD110 faults be fixed remotely?
Often, yes. We connect from shore to diagnose and reconfigure the system. Where hands are needed, an engineer joins the vessel at short notice wherever it is calling next.
Should we keep our MD110 or replace it?
It depends on the vessel, its remaining service life and the budget. We can keep the existing system running until the next refit, or plan a migration, and we will tell you straight which makes more sense.
Got an MD110 or MX-ONE that needs looking after?
Tell us the vessel, the system and the problem. We will come back to you with a plan.
