Home / Fleet support

Fleet support for shipboard communications.

One team looking after the telephone systems and communications across your fleet. Remote from shore or on board, wherever each vessel is.

One point of contact for every ship.

Most fleets run a mix of exchanges, radios and cabling installed at different times by different suppliers. Instead of chasing a different company for each vessel or each system, hand us the whole picture.

We get to know what is installed on each ship, so when a fault comes in we already understand the system, and we can keep older equipment running until the refit that makes sense for your budget.

What fleet support covers.

Every major shipboard system

Ericsson MD110 specialists, with the same depth of support across Mitel, Alcatel and Avaya systems installed on board.

Remote diagnosis

We connect from shore, find the fault and resolve whatever can be resolved without anyone needing to board.

Parts and legacy spares

New equipment and hard-to-find spares for Thales, Sailor, ICOM, Zenitel and Motorola, sourced and dispatched to the ship.

Engineers on board

Engineers ready to join a vessel at short notice, with Ericsson engineers based in South Africa as well as the UK.

Planned upgrades

Upgrades and refurbishments planned around each ship's schedule, keeping disruption to a minimum.

Cabling and connectivity

Fibre-optic cabling, SIP trunks and mobile contracts for ship staff and crew, managed alongside the phone systems.

How a fleet agreement works.

Clear cover, agreed upfront, with no small print.

1

Tell us about the fleet

The vessels, the systems installed on each one and any problems you are living with today.

2

We agree the cover

What is included and how you reach us, set out plainly in writing before anything starts.

3

We keep the ships talking

Remote fixes first, parts when hardware fails, and an engineer on board when the ship needs one.

Fleet support questions.

Can you look after a whole fleet?

Yes. We support a single ship or a whole fleet, keeping existing telephone systems running reliably between refits, with one team to contact for every vessel.

What if our ships run different telephone systems?

That is common. We specialise in Ericsson MD110 hotel telephone systems and also support Mitel, Alcatel and Avaya, so one team can cover the mix of systems across your fleet.

How do you support ships that are at sea?

We start with remote diagnosis from shore. If hardware has failed we source and dispatch the part, including obsolete parts, and where hands are needed an engineer joins the vessel at short notice wherever it is calling next.

Can you supply spares for older equipment across the fleet?

Yes. We source new equipment and hard-to-find spares for Thales, Sailor, ICOM, Zenitel and Motorola, plus sound-powered telephones, VHF radios, ship's radios and pagers.

How is a fleet agreement set out?

We agree the cover with you upfront, including what is included and how you reach us, and set it out plainly in writing with no small print.

Looking after more than one ship?

Tell us about the fleet and the systems on board. We will come back to you with a plan.
