What does Island Telecom Marine do?
Island Telecom Marine supplies, installs and supports telephone systems, marine communications parts and onboard cabling and connectivity for cruise ships, superyachts and the wider marine industry. Support is delivered remotely from shore or by an engineer on board, wherever the vessel is.
Which shipboard telephone systems do you support?
We specialise in Ericsson MD110 hotel telephone systems and also support Mitel, Alcatel and Avaya systems installed on board, covering software, hardware, fault-finding, maintenance and upgrades.
Can you support a ship anywhere in the world?
Yes. We start with remote diagnosis from shore, dispatch parts if hardware has failed, and send an engineer to join the vessel at short notice wherever it is calling next. With Ericsson engineers in the UK and South Africa, we can reach a vessel faster.
Do you work on superyachts as well as cruise ships?
Yes. We design, install and maintain telephone systems on superyachts, with work planned around the yacht's schedule and crew.
Where is Island Telecom Marine based?
We are based on the Isle of Wight in the UK and have 36 years of experience in marine communications, working with Carnival, P&O Cruises, Princess Cruises, Cunard, Costa Cruises and Swan Hellenic.
Do you offer support agreements for fleets?
Yes. We look after a single ship or a whole fleet, with remote diagnosis, parts and legacy spares, and engineers on board when needed. The cover is agreed upfront and set out plainly in writing. More on fleet support.
